Why this makes a great gift

Spend an evening away at the farm, learn about cooking techniques, making sauces and other items important for your pantry. In this workshop, you will focus on stocking and maintaining your pantry using sauces, fermentation and preserves as accompaniments for a meal. What does fermenting mean and how does it work? Learn how to create pantry led meals in all seasons. Each item you make is packaged to take home and serve at your table. Light dinner is served.

South Pond Farms

Country celebrations. Culinary experiences. South Pond is a 60-acre culinary and special event destination nestled in the picturesque Bethany Hills of Southern Ontario. The restored barn, iconic silo, gardens and farm kitchen are unique settings year-round for our country suppers, workshops, celebrations, lunch or drop-by visits. This is a family farm started by Danielle and her daughters and restored by her partner Shawn. We believe in real farm to plate experiences. We are committed to growing the food we serve and providing a sense of place and history of those who lived on this land before us. Come for a wedding, visit with friends or come and explore by yourself. Make it a weekend and stay overnight in our cottage or in a room with our accommodation partners. Reset and escape to the country and savour the quiet and beauty of our farm. No matter the time of year, we know you will create a memory to treasure at South Pond.
