What You Will Do
We will begin with a tour of the gelato laboratory and production machines.
We will have a 16-course gelato tasting to include the stranger and more bizarre and the more traditional flavours we make. We will discuss where the inspiration comes from and the different collaborations that we have made over the years, including the hits and the failures, the award winners and the flavours that got us in trouble. The tour will conclude with a scoop of gelato of your choice.
Some of our award winning flavours: cheeseboard gelato (pear-brie-walnut), garlic-fennel-vanilla, white truffle-maple-sage, grilled cheese, bugs-and-grass, and many more.
Who Will Guide You
Kaya will be leading this tour. In addition to being an accomplished chef, he is interested in food science and won Chopped Canada in 2015.
Kaya will explain where we source our produce, the importance of using seasonal, local and second-grade fruit from local farmers and the suppliers we work with. Kaya will identify the difference between gelato and ice cream, and explain why gelato is a better vehicle for flavour.
Don't forget to bring cooler bags, you will want to bring some pints home.
This one-hour tour is appropriate for people of all ages.
